New Johnson TV ad asserts "Minnesota is better than this"

Golden Valley, MN -- The Johnson for Governor campaign today released their latest ad of the 2018 campaign titled “Better.” The ad features candidate Jeff Johnson speaking directly to voters about their frustration with a government that ignores the serious challenges facing Minnesota, focuses on pampering freeway protesters and can’t even get the basics accomplished, like issuing driver’s licenses. It ends with Johnson promising “I’m going to give you your government back.”

“As the 2018 campaign for governor comes to and end, the choice is very clear for Minnesota voters,” said Johnson. “We can have four more years of the current administration with their out-of-touch attitude and inability to deliver the basics, or we can chart a new path that holds government accountable and focuses on what’s important to Minnesota families.”

The 30 second ad is scheduled to air on broadcast, cable and digital platforms this week. It can be viewed by clicking below.

FULL TRANSCRIPT:

We’ve seen massive tax hikes in Minnesota, but our roads are still a mess, our schools still say they’re broke and we pay our nursing home workers less than McDonald’s.

We pamper freeway protesters, ignore welfare fraud - and government can’t even issue license tabs.

Minnesota is better than this.

If you want more of the same, vote for the other guy.

I will hold government accountable to taxpayers again and stop wasting your money.

I’m Jeff Johnson and I’m going to give you your government back.
